  • The device has been spotted with a 67W charger.
  • It is expected to debut in May in China

Xiaomi’s upcoming Mix Flip 2 has received 3C certification in China, suggesting an earlier launch than its predecessor. Last year, the original Mix Flip was approved by 3C in May and officially unveiled in July in China. Now that the Mix Flip 2 has also received 3C certification, it seems likely that Xiaomi will introduce it sooner in its home market.

Reports indicate that the Mix Flip 2 will be available in both Chinese and global variants, with model numbers 2505APX7BC and 2505APX7BG, respectively. The global edition was previously spotted in Europe’s EEC certification database in December 2024, reinforcing expectations of an international launch. Like its predecessor, the Mix Flip 2 is expected to debut in China first, followed by a global rollout. Here’s a look at the details that have emerged through the device’s 3C certification.

  • As seen in the screenshot, China’s 3C regulatory body has approved an upcoming Xiaomi phone with the model number 2505APX7BC.
  • The IMEI database listing that emerged in August 2024 revealed that it would be called the Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 when it hits the market.
  • The 3C certification confirms that the Mix Flip 2 will ship with an ‘MDY-15-EQ’ power brick, which supports up to 67W fast charging.
  • This indicates that there would be no change in the wired charging department compared to the previous generation. The 3C listing does not provide information about the other specifications of the device.

Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 specifications (rumoured)

  • According to reports, the Xiaomi Mix Flip 2’s design will be similar to the previous generation. However, the cover screen may receive subtle refinements. It is likely to sport a slim profile of 7.6mm and weigh around 190 grams.
  • On the inside, it is expected to house a 85-inch foldable OLED screen with support for a 120Hz refresh rate and a 1.5K resolution.
  • The device may feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and a 5,100mAh battery.
  • Apart from 67W wired charging, it may support 50W wireless charging.
  • The Mix Flip 2 is expected to feature a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS support and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens on the back.
  • Other rumored features include a side-facing fingerprint sensor, NFC, and an IPX8-rated body.

The “2505” numbers in the Xiaomi Mix Flip 2’s model number indicate that the brand may launch it in May this year. If this is true, the company may start teasing its arrival in China by the end of this month.
