Motorola Edge 60 Pro, Redmi Pad 2 series 3C certified in China, launch imminent

Motorola Edge 60 Pro has received approval from the 3C authority in China. Recently, the said device was spotted alongside other models, such as the Edge 60 and Edge 60 Fusion, with all their key specifications in the database of China’s TENAA certification.

At the same time, the Redmi Pad 2 series has also emerged in 3C’s database. These certifications suggest that the Pad 2 lineup will be launching soon in China. Here’s a look at the details that have emerged through the 3C certification of the Edge 60 Pro and Redmi tablets.

  • According to reports, the Motorola Edge 60 Pro has the XT2507 model number. As can be seen above, its Chinese variant with the XT2507-5 model number has received 3C certification in China.
  • The 3C listing reveals that it may ship with a 90W charger, which has the MC-908 model number. The listing has no information about its other specs.
  • As per the TENAA certification, the Edge 60 Pro may feature a 6.67-inch OLED curved-edge screen that offers a 1.5K resolution.
  • It is expected to feature the Dimensity 8350 chipset, up to 16GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of storage.
  • It may pack a 6,000mAh battery with 90W charging.
    For photography, it may feature a 32-megapixel front camera and a 50-megapixel + 13-megapixel + 50-megapixel triple camera unit.
  • Its other rumoured features include an in-screen fingerprint scanner, a new hardware key on the left edge, and a 7.25mm slim profile.

  • As can be seen in the above screenshot, Redmi tablets with model numbers 25040RP0AC and 2505DRP06C have received 3C certification. While the former supports only Wi-Fi connectivity, the latter can connect to LTE networks, which indicates that it will have a SIM slot.
  • The global versions of these tablets bearing model numbers 25040RP0AG and 2505DRP068G were recently approved by the UAE’s TDRA certification It revealed that these are the Redmi Pad 2 (Wi-Fi) and Redmi Pad 2 4G. Both devices have also been approved by the FCC, India’s BIS, and Singapore’s IMDA authorities.
  • The 3C certification reveals that Redmi Pad 2 models will support 33W fast charging.
  • The previously seen FCC certification revealed a few features of the Redmi Pad 2 lineup, such as HyperOS 2.1, GPS, FM receiver, 4G LTE, and Wi-Fi 802.11ac. Its other specifications are yet to be revealed.

Motorola has recently confirmed that it will hold a global launch event on April 24. While it is expected to launch the new Razr foldables on the said date, it may also unveil the Edge 60 Pro. As for the Redmi Pad 2 series, it may break cover either this month or in May in multiple markets.
