The Redmi A5 and POCO C71 are set to launch soon, as they have cleared IMDA certification. We at Xpertpick has also spotted the upcoming Jovi V50 Lite 5G in the IMDA database.
Redmi A5 and POCO C71 IMDA Certification
The IMDA certification lists the model numbers 25028RN03A and 25028PC03G, indicating an imminent global launch. It confirms that the smartphone will debut under the Redmi and POCO brands. The database also states that the handsets will support Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity.
Recently, our folks at Xpertpick spotted the 25028RN03A smartphone on the TDRA certification, confirming its marketing name as the Redmi A5. Meanwhile, the POCO handset with the 25028PC03G model number will launch under the POCO C71 branding. The Indian variant of the smartphones was previously spotted on the BIS certification.
The Redmi A5 and POCO C71 will launch in India with the 25028RN03I and 25028PC03I model numbers. Both upcoming smartphones have also received EEC certification in the past. The Latin American variant of the Redmi A5 was listed on the FCC database with the 25028RN03L model number.
As per the FCC listing, the device will run Android 15 out of the box and support 4G mobile connectivity. It is expected to be available in 3GB+64GB, 4GB+64GB, 4GB+128GB, and 6GB+128GB configurations.
Jovi V50 Lite 5G IMDA Certification
A new Vivo smartphone with the model number V2440 has cleared IMDA certification. It is confirmed to be a 5G device with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC connectivity. A previous report suggests that the V2440 model will launch under the Jovi V50 Lite 5G branding.
The Jovi V50 Lite 5G is expected to be a rebranded version of the Vivo V50 Lite 5G, set to hit the market in the coming weeks. The report also states that Vivo plans to release the Jovi V50 and Jovi Y39 5G smartphones under the Jovi branding.
