The Redmi A5 has received NBTC certification in Thailand. This is not the first time the device has been spotted. In fact, it has been consistently appearing since the beginning of the year, starting with its listing in the IMEI database. It was later seen on other certification platforms, such as the FCC in the US, EEC, and UAE’s TDRA.
Reports suggest that the phone will have multiple variants. Additionally, it is also said to be rebranded as the Poco C71. Continue reading to learn more about the Redmi A5, including details from its latest certification.
Redmi A5 NBTC certification

Thailand’s NBTC authority has approved the Redmi A5 with the model number 25028RN03A. The listing confirms that the phone is a 4G LTE device and does not support 5G connectivity. The same model number and moniker were spotted in UAE’s TDRA certification earlier this month.
Reports have revealed that the Redmi A5 has multiple model numbers, including:
- 25028RN03G (Global)
- 25028RN03Y (Global – NFC version)
- 25028RN03I (India)
- 25028RN03A (Latin America)
- 25028RN03L
According to reports, the Redmi A5 will feature a Unisoc T615 chipset and an LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is likely to pack a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. It will come preloaded with HyperOS 2.0 based on Android 15. The device is expected to come in multiple RAM and storage configurations, such as 3GB + 64GB, 4GB + 64GB, 4GB + 128GB, and 6GB + 128GB.
Poco C71 rebranding
The Redmi A5 is also expected to be rebranded as the Poco C71 in different markets. The associated model numbers include:
- 25028PC03G (Global)
- 25028PC03Y (Global – NFC version)
- 25028PC03I (India)
- 25028PC03L (Latin America)
Since the Poco C71 is a rebranded version of the Redmi A5, it may pack the same specifications. However, for differentiation, the C71 could feature a slightly modified design and be available in different configurations.
The Indian variants of the Redmi A5 and Poco C71 have also been approved by BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards), hinting at an imminent launch.
