Tecno Camon 40 series is all set to debut at the upcoming MWC 2025 event. Before the official announcement, the Camon 40 series of smartphones have received Bluetooth SIG certification, revealing that the lineup will include four models.

Additionally, the Tecno Camon 40 Premier 5G has also emerged in Geekbench’s database, revealing its chipset, RAM, and OS version. It will arrive as a successor to last year’s Camon 30 Premier 5G, which featured the Dimensity 8200 Ultimate chip, 12 GB of RAM, and Android 14. Here’s a look at what’s known about the upcoming Camon 40 series.

The above screenshot reveals that Tecno models, such as the CM5, CM6, CM7, and CM8 will be respective marketing names, such as the Camon 40, Camon 40 Pro, Camon 40 Pro 5G, and Camon 40 Premier 5G. It seems that the starting two models do not support 5G connectivity.

The Geekbench listing reveals that the Tecno Camon 40 Premier 5G is powered by the Dimensity 8300 series chipset, although the exact name is not explicitly mentioned. The listing highlights key details, including a prime CPU core clocked at 3.35GHz, three performance cores at 3.20GHz, and four efficiency cores running at 2.20GHz. Additionally, the Mali-G615 MC6 GPU is referenced in the listing’s source code, further confirming that the device is equipped with a Dimensity 8300 series chip.

While its predecessor, the Camon 30 Premier 5G, featured the Dimensity 8200, the chipset was marketed as the “Dimensity 8200 Ultimate.” Similarly, the Camon 40 Premier 5G’s chipset could likely be branded as the Dimensity 8300 Ultimate.

The Geekbench listing further reveals that the device has 12 GB of RAM and runs on Android 15. The device has managed to secure a single-core score of 1127 and a multi-core score of 3865 points. The benchmarking scores align with other Dimensity 8300 Ultra-powered smartphones like the Poco X6 Pro.

Update: The Tecno Camon 40 Premier 5G has also received TUV certification, revealing that it will pack a 5,100mAh battery.

According to Tecno, the Camon 40 series will set a new standard in mobile photography as it will come equipped with the company’s AI imaging technology. The series will offer zero-delay performance for quick, dynamic captures and a one-tap button for seamless photography. The brand further revealed that the MediaTek processor-powered Camon 40 lineup promises smoother multi-skin tone imaging and AI-enhanced features. Additionally, the Tecno AI will also bring practical tools like intelligent search, smart calling, and content creation, enhancing the overall user experience.
