Poco C71 TDRA certified, launch imminent

Highlights

  • Poco C71 has received TDRA certification in the UAE.
  • It is expected to be launched globally soon.
  • It appears to be a rebranded version of the upcoming Redmi A5 (4G).

Last week, the upcoming Poco C71 received approval from Thailand’s NBTC certification platform. Now, the device has also been certified by the UAE’s TDRA regulatory body. While the TDRA listing does not reveal any specifications, it indicates that the device could launch globally soon.

Unlike the Poco C75, which debuted in Q4 2025 as an entry-level 5G phone, the Poco C71 is expected to be an entry-level 4G offering. Reports suggest that a tweaked or rebranded version of the C71 may launch in different markets as the Redmi A5.

The Poco C71’s TDRA certification reveals that it carries the model number 25028PC03G. The same model number and moniker were also spotted in Thailand’s NBTC database. Meanwhile, a variant with the model number 25028PC03I—where the “I” likely denotes the Indian version—was listed on the BIS certification platform a couple of weeks ago.  These certifications suggest that the device may go official later this month or in April.

Poco C71 specifications (expected)

As per reports, the Redmi A5 will arrive with an LCD HD+ screen that supports up to a 120Hz refresh rate. The device will be powered by the Unisoc T615 chip, up to6 GB of RAM, and a 5,000mAh battery with 18W charging support.

The C71 will run on Android 15 with a layer of HyperOS 2.0 on top. The phone will offer up to 128 GB of built-in storage. While the C71’s standard model may not support NFC connectivity, the company may release a dedicated NFC-enabled version for the global market.
