A forthcoming iQOO tablet has surfaced in the database of China’s 3C certification platform. The tablet, which bears the model number iPA2556, has appeared in 3C’s database and could be a successor to one of the iQOO Pad models that debuted last year in China.
In 2024, iQOO unveiled the iQOO Pad 2 and Pad 2 Pro tablets in China. The standard model featured the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip and 44W fast charging support, whereas the Pro model, equipped with the Dimensity 9300 Plus, offered 66W charging. The details revealed through the 3C certification suggest that the iPA2556 could be the alleged iQOO Pad 3.
Purported iQOO Pad 3 3C certified
Vivo tablets launched in China have model numbers starting with “PA” followed by four digits, while iQOO tablets use “iPA” followed by four digits.
Therefore, the two Vivo-manufactured tablets with model numbers “iPA2556” and “iPA2575” that have emerged in 3C’s database appear to be upcoming iQOO-branded tablets.
The iPA2575 model, which was spotted earlier this month with a 66W fast charger, is believed to be the iQOO Pad 3 Pro.
The newly certified iPA2556 iQOO tablet has been listed with a 44W fast charger. Since last year’s iQOO Pad 2 offered 44W charging support, it is likely that the iPA2556 device could be called the iQOO Pad 3 when it debuts in the Chinese market.
The iQOO Pad 2 featured the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip. Therefore, the Pad 3 may come equipped with the Snapdragon 8s Elite, which is expected to debut next month.
iQOO is expected to hold a launch event in China next month (April) to unveil the iQOO Z10 series. It remains to be seen whether the iQOO Pad 3 debuts alongside the Z10 lineup.
The device’s moniker, chipset, and launch timeframe mentioned in this post are just speculations and should be taken with a pinch of salt.
iQOO Pad 3 Pro key specifications (rumoured)
According to reports, the iQOO Pad 3 Pro will arrive with a 12.95-inch LCD panel and feature the upcoming Dimensity 9400 Plus.
Last year’s iQOO Pad 2 Pro and Vivo Pad 3 Pro featured the same internals, but they mainly offered different chipsets, such as the Dimensity 9400 Plus and Dimensity 9300, respectively.
Therefore, the iQOO Pad 3 Pro is expected to borrow its other specs from the Vivo Pad 4 Pro, which is expected to feature a 3.1K resolution screen, a 12,000mAh battery with 66W charging, 12GB / 16GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel front camera, and a 13-megapixel rear camera.
