In the previous month, the upcoming Honor 400 and 400 Pro smartphones were spotted at the GCF certification. Now, both models have received EMVCo approval, which is a certification process for payment devices and systems to ensure they comply with the EMV (Europay, MasterCard, and Visa) standards for secure electronic payments.
At the same time, we have also spotted a mysterious Honor tablet in Geekbench’s database. The specifications that have emerged through the listing suggest that it will be a mid-range offering. At present, there is no information available about the marketing name of the device.
Honor 400, Honor 400 Pro EMVCo certified
- The Honor 400 and Honor 400 Pro have surfaced with their respective model numbers, DNY-NX9 and DND-NX9, in the EMVCo certification database.
- The certification reveals two key details about the Honor 400 series: NFC support and the preinstallation of Android 15.
- It should be noted that these are global versions of the Honor 400 series. The Chinese versions, which are expected to launch in May, may have different model numbers.
- Unfortunately, the other details of the Honor 400 series are under wraps.
Honor JMS-W09, JMS-L09 Geekbench listings
- A new Honor tablet with the JMS-W09 model number has emerged in Geekbench’s database. As can be seen above, another variant of the same device with model number JMS-L09 has also surfaced on the benchmarking platform.
- While the JMS-W09 variant has 4GB of RAM, the JMS-L09 has 6GB of RAM. Both variants run on Android 15.
- The CPU that powers both models includes four efficiency cores working at 1.90GHz and four performance cores operating at 2.40GHz. It also includes the Adreno 610 GPU. These details suggest it could be powered by the Snapdragon 688 chipset.
- In the single-core and multi-core tests, the W09 variant achieved 413 and 1348 points, respectively. On the other hand, the L09 edition scored 411 and 1445 points, respectively.
The Geekbench appearance suggests that the company could be internally testing the device before its launch. As far as the Honor 400 series is concerned, it is expected to go official in the ongoing year.
