Highlights

  • A forthcoming Vivo phone with the V2504 model number has surfaced in Geekbench’s database.

A forthcoming Vivo smartphone with the V2504 model number has surfaced in Geekbench’s database. This phone appears to be a high-end device, as it is equipped with the Dimensity 9300 Plus chipset.

Prior to appearing on Geekbench, it has not been spotted on any known certification platforms. Therefore, there is no information about the final marketing name of the device. The appearance of the Geekbench listing is a strong indication that the company is internally testing its performance and may launch it soon.

Vivo V2504 Geekbench listing

  • The Geekbench listing of the Vivo V2504 smartphone mentions a motherboard identified as “k6989v1_64,” built on ARMv8 architecture.
  • This indicates that the device could be powered by the “MT6989” model number, which is associated with both Dimensity 9300 and 9300 Plus chipsets.
  • The CPU details mentioned in the listing reveal that it has a prime core working at 3.40GHz, three performance cores clocking at 2.85GHz, and four efficiency cores operating at 2.00GHz. For graphics, the chipset is equipped with the Mali-G720 Immortalis MC12 GPU.
  • These details are enough to conclude that the V2504 is powered by the Dimensity 9300 Plus and not the D9300. The reason behind this is that the D9300+ is an overclocked version that tops at 3.40GHz, whereas the D9300 prime core maxes out at 3.25GHz.
  • The Geekbench listing further reveals that the V2504 phone features 8GB of RAM and runs on Android 15. Unfortunately, nothing else is known about the device.

Could it be the Vivo V50 Pro?

Last year, Vivo unveiled the Vivo V40 Pro in the global market as a slightly modified version of the China-exclusive Vivo S19 Pro. While the company has already launched the Vivo V50 in multiple markets, it has yet to unveil the Vivo V50 Pro.

Like its predecessor, the V50 Pro could be based on the Vivo S20 Pro, which debuted with the Dimensity 9300 Plus in China in December 2024. Therefore, the V2504 phone that has appeared on Geekbench could be the Vivo V50 Pro. However, there is not enough available evidence to back this claim.

The Vivo S20 Pro features a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen that offers a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the S20 features the Dimensity 9300+ chip, up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM, up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage, and a 5,500mAh battery with 90W charging. It has an autofocus-enabled 50-megapixel front camera and a 50-megapixel (main) + 50-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 50-megapixel (3x periscope telephoto) triple camera setup.
