Motorola is gearing up to expand its G series lineup with the all-new G56 5G smartphone. Today, we spotted this device on the FCC certification website, which reveals some key specifications. Here’s everything you need to know:

Moto G56 5G on FCC Certification

The device appeared with three model numbers: XT2529-2, XT2529-3, and XT2529-4. The XT2529-3 model is listed to have 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. On the other hand, the XT2529-4 variant comes with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. There are no details available yet about the XT2529-2 model.

The FCC certification suggests that Motorola might launch its forthcoming budget offering with a base storage option of 128GB, which is a welcome move—64GB storage no longer makes much sense in 2025.

Moreover, the FCC listing also indicates that the device will have NFC support, along with the usual Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. It also confirms support for eight 5G bands, including n5, n7, n26, n71, n38, n41, n77, and n78.

Unfortunately, the listing doesn’t reveal any additional specifications. However, we expect to learn more in the coming days.

The upcoming G56 5G is expected to succeed the G55 5G, which was launched in August last year. However, that model never arrived on Indian shores, so it remains unclear whether Motorola will bring its next G series device to India.
