Poco C71 has surfaced in the database of the NBTC certification platform in Thailand. It appears that it could be the company’s first C-series phone to go official this year. The device is expected to replace the Poco C61, which went official in March 2024.
The Poco C71 is also heading to India, as its country-specific variant bearing the 25028PC03I model number was certified by the BIS authority at the beginning of this month. Reports have revealed that the C71 will be a rebranded or tweaked version of the upcoming Redmi A5, which was also approved by NBTC recently.
Poco C71 NBTC certified

The above image shows that the upcoming Poco C71, with model number 25028PC03G, has emerged in NBTC’s database. The certification confirms that it is a 4G LTE phone, meaning it lacks support for 5G connectivity.
Unfortunately, the NBTC certification has not revealed anything else about the Poco C71. Considering that it will be a rebranded Redmi A5, it may come with an LCD panel that supports an HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it may feature the Unisoc T615 chip and a 5,000mAh battery with 18W rapid charging support.
Like the Poco C61, the C71 may come with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. The phone may come preloaded with HyperOS 2.0-based Android 15.
With NBTC and BIS certifications under its belt, the Poco C71 is expected to launch in different markets as early as March. Reports have revealed that there will be another global variant of the phone with NFC support, carrying the model number 25028PC03Y. Additionally, there is a Latin American variant of the phone with the 25028PC03L model number.
