The Poco F7 India launch seems imminent. The reason behind this is that we at XpertPick have spotted the much-awaited smartphone in the database of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). In all likelihood, the phone may debut in May in India, similar to the Poco F6, which launched in the same month last year.
The Poco F7 will be positioned lower than the Poco F7 Pro and F7 Ultra, which debuted with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and 8 Gen 3 chipsets, respectively, for the global market last month. While the Indian market may not receive the Pro and Ultra editions, what seems certain is that the standard variant will make it to Indian soil. Here’s a look at what to expect from the device.
Poco F7 BIS certified

- As seen in the above screenshot, an upcoming Poco smartphone with the model number 25053PC47I has received BIS certification in India.
- While the listing does not explicitly mention the device’s name or specifications, it is likely to be the upcoming Poco F7.
- The “2505” in the model number suggests that the device could be scheduled for a May launch in India.
Poco F7 specifications (rumoured)
- According to reports, the Poco F7 will be a rebranded version of the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro, which is expected to launch either this month or in May in China.
- As a result, the Poco F7 is expected to feature a 6.83-inch flat OLED LTPS display with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
- Under the hood, it is likely to be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, paired with a 7,550mAh battery supporting 90W rapid charging.
- On the back, the F7 is tipped to sport a 50-megapixel primary camera with OIS and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens.
- The device is also expected to come with a metal middle frame and an IP68/69-rated chassis for dust and water resistance.
The Poco F6 was launched at Rs 29,999 last year, so the F7 is likely to arrive with a similar price tag in India.
