Highlights

  • Samsung Galaxy F56 5G and Galaxy M56 5G have received BIS certification in India.
  • At the same time, two upcoming Redmi tablets has also bagged BIS certification.
  • The final marketing name of the tablet is not known yet.

The Samsung Galaxy F56 5G and Galaxy M56 5G have received approval from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification platform in India. With this certification in place, both devices are expected to launch soon as successors to last year’s Galaxy F55 5G and Galaxy M55 5G.

To recall, the Galaxy F55 and M55 featured identical specifications but were offered in different colours. The F55 was sold exclusively via Flipkart, while the M55 was available through Amazon. Therefore, it is likely that the upcoming F56 and M56 will follow the same pattern—featuring similar internals but being sold through Flipkart and Amazon, respectively.

In addition to the Samsung devices, two upcoming Redmi tablets have also received BIS certification in India. However, there is currently no information available regarding the final moniker of the Redmi tablets.

  • According to reports, these model numbers correspond to the upcoming Galaxy F56 5G and Galaxy M56 5G.
  • As expected, the BIS certification does not disclose any specifications of these devices.
  • Concrete details about the Galaxy M56 and F56 have yet to emerge from leaks. However, speculation suggests that both phones could be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset.

  • The screenshot reveals that two upcoming Redmi tablets, bearing model numbers 25040RP0AI and 2505DRP06I, have been approved by the BIS authority in India.
  • The letter “I” at the end of these model numbers confirms that they are Indian variants.
  • Their global versions—identified by the same model numbers ending with “G”—were previously certified by Europe’s EEC authority in January 2024.
  • The “2504″ and “2505” prefixes suggest that these tablets could launch in April and May in India and other regions.
  • Unfortunately, there is no official information available yet regarding their final marketing names or specifications.

Samsung launched the Galaxy M55 in March 2024, while the Galaxy F55 debuted in May 2024. It remains to be seen if the company will follow a similar release timeline for their successors. As far as the Redmi tablets are concerned, the brand introduced the Redmi Pad Pro in India last year. It is possible that one of the newly spotted models could be the successor of the Redmi Pad Pro.
