Samsung Galaxy M56 5G Geekbench listing has been spotted. The device, carrying the model number SM-M566B, has appeared on the benchmarking platform. Last week, its support page went live on Samsung India’s website. These developments suggest that the phone may launch in India as early as this month.
The Galaxy M56 will arrive as the successor to the Galaxy M55, which debuted in March 2024. The M55 featured a 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, a 50-megapixel triple camera setup, and a 5,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging. So far, there have been no concrete leaks regarding the M56’s specifications. However, the Geekbench listing provides the first details about the device.

- While the chipset’s name is not explicitly mentioned, the “s5e8845” identifier in the motherboard field, along with CPU details—four 2.75GHz performance cores, four 2.05GHz efficiency cores—and the Xclipse 530 GPU (mentioned in the source code), confirm that the device is equipped with the Exynos 1480.
- The listing also reveals that the Galaxy M56 has 8GB of RAM and runs Android 15, likely layered with Samsung’s latest One UI 7. It remains to be seen whether Samsung will offer up to six years of Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates, similar to the recently launched Galaxy A56 and A36.
- On Geekbench 6, the M56 recorded a single-core score of 1,153 points and a multi-core score of 3,456 points. Unfortunately, there is no information about the other specifications of the phone.
In related news, Samsung is also reportedly working on the Galaxy F56, which carries the model number SM-E566B. Like the M56, the F56’s support page is live on Samsung India’s website, indicating an imminent launch. Both devices, which were approved by India’s BIS authority last month, are expected to share identical specifications, with minor design differences. While the Galaxy M56 will be sold via Amazon India, the Galaxy F56 will be available exclusively on Flipkart.
