
A Samsung tablet with model number SM-X356B has received approval from the FCC authority in the US, indicating an imminent launch. This tablet was recently spotted at the UAE’s TDRA certification with the Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro moniker. It is speculated that the SM-X356B is the cellular variant of the device, whereas its Wi-Fi-only edition has the SM-X350B model number.

- The FCC label reveals that the Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro will be manufactured in Vietnam. The label also reveals that the device will offer 128GB of storage.
- The cellular variant (model number SM-X356B) will support 5G bands, such as n1, n3, n5, n7, n8, n20, n26, n28, n38, n40, n41, n66, n71, n77, and n78. It will offer connectivity features such as Wi-Fi 802.11ac, NFC, and Bluetooth.
- The tablet will also support the S Pen stylus and a microSD card slot.
- The device may ship with an EP-T150 power adapter that supports up to 15W charging.
- The Korean Testing Certification Institute listing reveals that the SM-X356N variant for the South Korean market and the SM-X350 Wi-Fi-only version will also support 15W charging.
- A previously seen Geekbench listing of the device revealed that it will arrive with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chip, 6GB of RAM, and Android 15.
The Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro will be an enhanced edition of the Tab Active 5 launched last year. To recall, the Active 5 came with an 8-inch LCD 120Hz screen, an Exynos 1380 chip, 6GB / 8GB of RAM, 128GB of native storage, and a removable 5,050mAh battery, a 5-megapixel front camera, and a 13-megapixel rear camera. The arrival of the Pro edition seems close at hand as its official support pages have already gone live in markets like the UK, Switzerland, and Russia.
