Recently, a Samsung phone with model number SM-G766U was approved by the FCC, revealing key details about the device. The certification, spotted by 91mobiles Indonesia, helped clear confusion regarding its name. While some sources speculated it would be called the Galaxy XCover 8 Pro, others believed it would be the XCover 7 Pro. However, one of the FCC documents explicitly referred to it as “XC7 Pro,” strongly indicating that it will be marketed as the Galaxy XCover 7 Pro.
Additionally, the device has been spotted with multiple model number variants, including SM-G766B, SM-G766U, SM-G766U1, and SM-G766W, in the TUV Rheinland certification database. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro was first spotted in the IMEI database in October 2024 under the model number SM-X356B. This model number, along with other variants, has now surfaced on official Samsung support pages, further hinting at an imminent launch.
