Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 have been certified by China’s 3C regulatory body well ahead of their expected July launch. This follows the same pattern as last year when the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 received 3C approval in March 2024 before their July debut.

The certification listings indicate that both devices may retain the same wired charging speeds as their predecessors, suggesting no major upgrades in this area. Read on for a closer look at the details revealed through the certification.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy  Z Flip 7 3C certified

  • Reports indicate that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 carry the model numbers SM-F966 and SM-F766, respectively.
  • As shown in the certification listings, the Chinese variants, identified as SM-F9660 for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and SM-F7660 for the Galaxy Z Flip 7, have appeared in China’s 3C certification database.
  • Both devices have been spotted with the EP-TA800 power brick, which supports up to 25W fast charging, indicating no upgrade over their predecessors.
  • While the listing confirms 25W charging support, it also states that both models will be sold without a power adapter in the retail box.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold, Z Flip 7 specifications (rumoured)

According to reports, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will feature a 6.5-inch outer display and an 8.2-inch inner foldable screen. Under the hood, it will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset, paired with 12GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. The device is expected to house a 10-megapixel front camera, an upgraded internal camera, and a 200-megapixel + 12-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 10-megapixel (telephoto) triple-camera setup. In terms of battery life, reports suggest it will retain the 4,400mAh battery seen in its predecessor.

The Galaxy Z Flip 7, on the other hand, is expected to offer a larger battery compared to the Z Flip 6. While its predecessor featured a 3,900mAh battery, the Z Flip 7 is expected to come with a 4,300mAh battery. Both of its displays may see upgrades, with the outer screen increasing to 4 inches and the inner screen expanding to 6.85 inches. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, the device is expected to offer 12GB of RAM and 256GB / 512GB of storage. For selfies, it will feature a 10-megapixel front camera, while the rear setup may consist of a 50-megapixel + 12-megapixel (ultra-wide) dual-camera system.
