Highlights

  • Two upcoming Pova 7 series phones have received approval from the EEC authority.
  • The certification suggests that the entire Pova 7 lineup may include six models.
  • The Pova 7 series is expected to launch after the Camon 40 lineup.

In February, Tecno released the first teaser for its upcoming Pova series. While the brand did not confirm the exact name, EEC certification listings featuring the Pova 7 branding, spotted last month, suggest that the company is preparing to launch the Pova 7 series.

Last month, the Tecno Pova 7 4G, Pova 7 5G, Pova 7 Pro 5G, and Pova 7 Pro+ 5G were spotted at the EEC certification with respective model numbers, such as LJ6, LJ7, LJ8, and LJ9. Reports have also revealed that the lineup includes another device called the Pova 7 Curve 5G with the LJ8K model number. Now, two more Pova 7-branded devices have emerged in the EEC’s database, indicating that the lineup will have as many as six models.

  • The first screenshot shown above reveals that the Tecno Pova 7 Ultra 5G has received approval from the EEC authority.
  • Interestingly, it carries the LJ9 model number, which was previously associated with the Pova 7 Pro+ 5G, according to its EEC listing from last month.
  • Similarly, the Tecno Pova 7 Neo, which has now appeared in the EEC’s database, has the LJ6 model number, previously linked to the Pova 7 4G.
  • There is a possibility that the company may have decided to rename the Pova 7 Pro+ 5G as the Pova 7 Ultra 5G and the Pova 7 4G as the Pova 7 Neo.

The official teaser for the Pova 7 series, released last month, revealed that it will feature a triangle-shaped camera module with LED lighting. However, the company has not confirmed any other details about the Pova 7 lineup.

Recently, the brand unveiled the Camon 40 lineup at MWC 2025. It is likely that the Pova 7 series will be launched after the Camon 40 models are released in various markets.
