The upcoming Vivo Y29s 5G has been approved by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the US. This is not the first time the device has secured an important certification, as it was previously spotted in the databases of other certification platforms, including GCF, the UAE’s TDRA, and SGS Fimko.

The FCC certification ensures that the Vivo Y29s 5G meets the necessary safety and operational standards for radio frequency (RF) emissions, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, cellular networks, and other communication technologies. As seen in the screenshots below, the certification has revealed details about the battery size and charging capabilities of the Y29s.

Vivo Y29s FCC certified

Previous certifications, such as GCF and TDRA, have confirmed that the upcoming Vivo phone with model number V2446 will launch under the moniker “Vivo Y29s 5G.” The FCC certification reveals that the device will be equipped with a BA60 battery featuring a 5,050mAh capacity.

Additionally, the device will ship with the V1530L0B0 charger, which supports up to 15W charging, as per the UL certification listing. The FCC listing also confirms 5G band support, including n2, n5, n7, n26, n38, n51, n66, n71, and n78, ensuring compatibility with various 5G networks worldwide.

The FCC listing has, for the first time, disclosed key details of the Vivo Y29s 5G, as previous certifications did not reveal any specifications. With FCC approval now secured, the Y29s 5G is expected to launch later this month or in April. Speculation suggests that compared to the existing Vivo Y29, the upcoming Y29s will feature a better chipset and run on the latest Funtouch OS 15-based Android 15.

To recall, the Vivo Y29 5G features a 6.68-inch IPS LCD panel with HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the Dimensity 6300 chip, offering up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The device houses a 5,500mAh battery with 44W fast charging. For photography, it sports a 50-megapixel dual-camera setup on the back and an 8-megapixel front camera.
