Xiaomi OpenWear Stereo Pro bags FCC, CMIIT certifications, key details emerge

Highlights

  • Xiaomi OpenWear Stereo Pro is in the works.
  • It has received FCC and CMIIT certifications.
  • It is expected to launch soon.

In July 2024, Xiaomi launched the OpenWear Stereo ear wearable for the global market. We at XpertPick have found some evidence that the brand is now working on the Pro version of the existing model.

The FCC certification platform has approved a new audio device by Xiaomi with model number M2503E1. The listing has not only revealed the final moniker of the device but also the battery size of the earbuds and charging case. With a major certification under the belt, it appears that it won’t take too long for the new open-style earbuds to go official.

Xiaomi OpenWear Stereo Pro FCC approved

  • The FCC listing reveals that the Xiaomi device with model number M2503E1 will be called the Xiaomi OpenWear Stereo Pro when it hits the market.
  • The listing confirms that its charging case will have a 788mAh battery and support 6W charging.
  • Each earbud of the OpenWear Stereo Pro will pack a 56mAh battery.
  • The listing also reveals that the device will support Bluetooth Low Energy.
  • Apart from the FCC, the OpenWear Stereo Pro has also been approved by China’s MIIT authority, indicating a China launch in the near future. However, it does not reveal anything significant about the device.

In comparison, the standard OpenWear Stereo also packs a 788mAh battery, which indicates that there may not be any battery life improvement on the upcoming Pro variant.

The standard features 10mm audio drivers with Hi-Res Audio and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity support. It offers up to 38.5 hours of battery life with the charging case. For AI noise cancellation, the device is equipped with dual microphones. Powered by HyperOS, it is designed to offer seamless connectivity with Xiaomi devices.
